January: Find your inner Joy💚
The year may be new but January invites deep rest while the days are quiet, and the body is naturally drawn inward. This month, we rest beneath the pressure to “start strong” and instead reconnect with joy as something simple and steady—available when we slow down enough to feel it. Let rest be enough, no fixing, improving, or planning required.
January’s hour of Joy includes:
time to sit with your journal (optional) and practice a moment of Joy journaling — write a short list of what brings quiet, simple joy to your life.
be guided to set an intention (Sankalpa) to foster your inner joy and move you softly into the next month.
get real cozy and prepare your nest to settle in for a guided 35-minute yoga nidra.
gently rise and we will close our time together with a few centering breaths, and a collective “good night”.
If you fall asleep, sleep is what you needed and “sweet dreams”.
This is an online gathering and pre-registration is required by clicking the Rest Here button below to contact me for payment options and a link will be sent the day of our rest.
YOGA NIDRA what it is and why it is an essential piece to your wellbeing.
Join Cathy each month to end the day with a nourishing theme-based yoga Nidra (yogic nap).
Yoga Nidra is a gentle, guided meditative practice offered while you lie down and are fully supported, either in bed or on the floor. Often described as yogic sleep, Cathy will invite you to drift through the layers of your being—the koshas—moving from the physical body into the breath and energy, the landscape of thoughts and emotions, and toward deeper inner wisdom and quiet joy.
Within this liminal space between waking and sleep, a sankalpa, or heartfelt intention, is softly planted — your deepest desires: an offering to what you are ready to nurture or remember.
As science has proven, yoga Nidra softens the body and settles the mind, the nervous system is given permission to exhale. With time, this practice may support more restful sleep, a gentler relationship with stress, and a quiet sense of restoration that naturally weaves its way into daily life.
No prior experience is needed, only a willingness to rest and receive.
Pre-registration is required. A link to Her Evening of Rest will be shared on the day of our time together.
